We were invited to this year’s commemorate anniversary of 23 October, which was organized at Budapest, Gödör Klub. Along with many other artists I also decided to participate in the program. We prepared for the event with a short performance, suitable for this commemorate occasion.

Mainly for my foreign readers I would like to briefly tell the story of this important date. This day was the beginning of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. It was a spontaneous nationwide revolt against the government of the Hungarian People's Republic and its Soviet-imposed policies, lasting from 23 October until 10 November 1956.

I think that art remains independent from the prevailing political interests. Otherwise, arts can play an important role in the processing of our past and its true appreciation, and can help accentuate and strengthen the human togetherness.
